Broke Her Back Surfing … Put On 80 Pounds … In Complete Agony For 18 Months … Now Back Swimming With 61 Pounds Gone Already
X-rays confirmed I had fractured my 10th thoracic vertebra while surfing. I saw the doctor a dozen times, and he just told me that time would make the pain better, and refilled my prescriptions. I felt drugged all the time, in a haze, and was still in pain every day, with every move I made. I will never forget the 8 weeks of excruciating pain, not being able to walk from the living to the bathroom without the deep sharp pains, it really felt like I was being stabbed.
After a year and a half of being miserable, all that inactivity and lack of sleep led to depression and a sense of helplessness. I remember telling my husband, as I laid on the sofa, that if this was going to be my life, I wasn't sure I wanted it.
I have been doing the twice-daily exercises of the Better Back Program for 7 months now, and I can honestly say that I feel and move like I used to. I am careful about the positions I use when I lift heavy loads, but it seems like the innate intelligence that my body used to have in regards to how to move fluidly has returned, like it has been retrained somehow.
Hi Kass,
In June 2003, our family was body surfing at Mo'omomi Beach on our island of Moloka'i, Hawaii. This beach is known for its nasty undertow and sandy shore break. I was catching a beautiful 3-foot wave when I found myself going "over the falls" instead of staying in the barrel of the wave. I tried to get my feet under me before I hit the sand, but I instead got body slammed into the sand. I heard a crack, and I knew I was in trouble. My husband and sons saw what had happened and all came over to me. I got out of the water and felt all right, just dazed. We rode our bikes back to the car and then went on home. That night my back started really hurting, like nothing I had ever felt before. It felt like electric currents were being shot into me, I could barely breathe because of the pain. I got out of bed, and looked at my back in the mirror and saw a huge bruise right between my shoulder blades, it looked like a pool of blood.
X-rays confirmed I had fractured my 10th thoracic vertebra. It was a stable fracture and the only thing the doctor did was give me a bottle of Flexeril to relax the muscles, and some 500 mg pills of Naprosen for the pain and inflammation. He said he'd see me in a week. I saw him a dozen times, and he just told me that time would make the pain better, and refilled my prescriptions. I felt drugged all the time, in a haze, and was still in pain every day, with every move I made. I will never forget the 8 weeks of excruciating pain, not being able to walk from the living to the bathroom without the deep sharp pains, it really felt like I was being stabbed. The pain lessened after 2 months, but it never went away, and I always felt like no matter what I did, I was on the verge of another painful episode if I just moved in a normal way. My doctor told me to just be patient and give it time. I never went back.
After a year and a half of being miserable, all that inactivity and lack of sleep led to depression and a sense of helplessness. I really felt like I would never get better. I remember telling my husband, as I laid on the sofa, that if this was going to be my life, I wasn't sure I wanted it. I've never felt that sort of desperation before. I was missing out on my life, and missing out on all the activities our family had enjoyed so much together.
I've always been an active person, I swam competitively all through high school and in college. After being inactive for so long, I finally weighed myself one day and couldn't believe I had ballooned up to 228 pounds! I decided that the extra weight was probably making it impossible for my body to fully heal. I went to WebMD and looked up information on back pain, and that's when I saw The Better Back Program. I clicked on the link and read a little bit about the program and how it has helped many people with chronic back pain. I really had nothing to lose, except misery and pain, so I ordered it and anxiously awaited its arrival. When it came, I read through the 5 exercises and watched the video. I started doing the exercises that day. I couldn't believe the sounds that came out of my back. I have never visited a chiropractor (too chicken!), but the cracking sounds seemed like someone was manipulating my back alignment. I religiously did the exercises as soon as I woke up in the morning, and then again right before I went to bed. I started to sleep better after about a week, I noticed that I didn't have to sleep in one position any more, I turned over, and when I did turn, there wasn't any pain. After about a week and half, I noticed that I was moving in a more normal manner, I would bend over and pick up something, for example, where I never would before. It felt like my body was starting to get back to normal movement again. I added the water with sea salt after the first 3 weeks and the scale started to creep down quickly!
I am still doing the 2 litres of water with a pinch of sea salt every day in addition to the 2x of exercising. I've just begun to experiment with table-top push ups to give myself some extra challenge.
As of this morning, October 29th, I have lost a total of 61 pounds. I know that I owe my health and sense of well being to the Better Back Program. It's funny that something that takes only a few minutes of my time every day is the one thing that has given me back my life. Our family once again enjoys kayaking, biking, hiking, and swimming at the beach again. I feel like myself again! This program literally was the blessing that gave me back my life. I'm so thankful for Mr. Antanaitis.

Golfer Now Plays 3-4 Times Per Week Without Pain
Before I retired I would play golf once a week on the weekend. I would then spend the rest of the week with chronic pain in my lower back, which would just be on the mend enough to play golf the following weekend. I also needed a prescription ointment to help me through the week to mitigate the effects of the back pain. I now golf three or four times a week, have almost zero back pain and in the process have halved my handicap. More importantly, my quality of life has soared!
Dear Kass,
I've now been on your Better Back Program for two years. I wish I had started it earlier!
Before I retired I would play golf once a week on the weekend. I would then spend the rest of the week with chronic pain in my lower back, which would just be on the mend enough to play golf the following weekend. I thought this was normal! I also needed a prescription ointment to help me through the week to mitigate the effects of the back pain. In short I felt like an invalid.
I'd love to tell you that I'm now a scratch golfer who appears to have discovered the elixir of life but the truth is probably more relevant to me.
I retired about the same time as I started the Better Back Program. I now golf three or four times a week, have almost zero back pain and in the process have halved my handicap. More importantly, my quality of life has soared!
How do I know this is tied up with your program? Simple. For ten days when my family and I were on holidays I didn't do the exercises. Yes, all the old symptoms returned and stayed until I got back on the program.
I wish you all the best with your product.

Commercial Pilot Eliminates 31 Years of Back Pain after Severe Whiplash Injury
Freedom from pain is novel for me. I was first injured when a Chimbu, a native from the New Guinea Highlands, drove a fully laden city-bus into the back of my stationary vehicle in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, in February 1973. I suffered severe whiplash injuries, the force of the collision being sufficient to break the back of my seat and deposit me on the back seat of my car.
Ever since then I have struggled to strengthen my back and spent a fortune on treatment to control the condition and reduce the chronic pain. I have tried everything from drugs, to physiotherapy, to chiropractic, to acupuncture, to massage and late last year was finally contemplating surgery given the delicate state of my back condition.
I purchased your "Better Back Program" (in 2004). Within three days I felt it was making a difference. At the end of the first week I was convinced that there was a marked improvement. Within a fortnight I found that only two areas of chronic pain remained, compared to the half dozen or so identifiable areas that had previously existed. At the end of 3 or 4 weeks on your program the pain in my left hip, lower back, upper thigh and the bottom of my foot were all gone!
I am grateful and frankly astounded that the exercises are so effective.
Dear Kass,
I have just hurt my back!
While standing on unlevel ground, with one leg substantially lower than the other and while using an electric hedge clipper, I over-stretched in an effort to reach a small area of hedge that I had missed while working my way down-hill along my front fence. One might reasonably wonder why someone with a chronic back condition would attempt to clip a hedge while standing on unlevel ground. I have done it before on several occasions, and have even hurt myself on a previous occasion, but have regarded the event as just another result of the risks one must take if the yard is to be kept tidy and one is not to become a complete convalescent.
On this occasion however, I had no premonition of the event nor even considered the risk. Why not?
I have been pain free for over a week. Literally pain free!
I have been one who long ago decided that I had to take responsibility for the condition of my back and have exercised daily for half an hour and walked between 40 and 60 minutes a day to maintain a level of fitness that controls the pain and allows me to function with the aid of pain-killers and massage and the occasional series of visits to the chiropractor.
My exercises have been specifically designed for maintenance and control of back injuries and pain. I am sure that they have helped but they have never eliminated the pain. Nothing has. I have tried everything from drugs, to physiotherapy, to chiropractic, to acupuncture, to massage and late last year was finally contemplating surgery given the delicate state of my back condition. I always maintained that I would only countenance surgery if the alternative was to be confinement to a wheel chair.
However, my condition seemed so bad and I figured that modern surgical techniques must have improved greatly since the 1970's that perhaps surgery would be worth the risk. I felt that to do nothing would actually put my career as a pilot at risk. I spend a lot of time sitting down when I am at work.
However, in April I purchased your "Better Back Program" and since then I haven't looked back, (no pun intended but I'll leave it there now that it is written.)
Within three days I commented that I felt it was making a difference. At the end of the first week I was convinced that there was a marked improvement. Within a fortnight I found that only two areas of chronic pain remained, compared to the half dozen or so identifiable areas that had previously existed.
I hadn't read the "Analysis" by Claire Young that you included with the Program, and said that while I couldn't understand why the Program worked I was finding that it did. I was amazed and pleased beyond expression, but never expected the Program to eradicate pain from my lower back. I believed that the Program's arm exercises couldn't possibly influence the muscle in my left buttock that had been in constant spasm for over 14 months.
None of the treatments that I have had has eased that pain, despite the time and expense incurred. It was principally because of that pain that I was recently contemplating surgery.
At the end of 3 or 4 weeks on your program the pain in my left hip, lower back, upper thigh and the bottom of my foot were all gone! Only if I missed a session of your exercise could I sense the onset of pain.
I can attest that I have had to use pain killers only once or twice in the past week and then only if I awaken in pain in the middle of the night. Looking back I may have taken them more out of habit than because of the level of actual pain.
The only complaint that I have about the program is that I felt so good and so fit that I undertook hedge clipping without considering the possible consequences! Don't get me wrong. I am not blaming your Program in any way. I just undertook a task for which I wasn't physically ready, despite my otherwise good level of fitness.
The two days of convalescence have enabled me to spend some time reading and I read the "Analysis" by Claire Young. I now have an understanding of how and why the Program works, even on areas quite remote from the middle of the back where the exercises seem to be centred.
In future I will perform a session of the program's exercises before undertaking unusual physical activities that might cause acute injury.
I am grateful and frankly astounded that the exercises are so effective so please regard this as it is intended, a letter of thanks and not one of complaint.
Regards in appreciation,
James Gundrum

To His Astonishment He Felt Relief Immediately - The SAME DAY
I made a start with the exercises and to my astonishment felt relief immediately - the SAME DAY. Bear in mind, this was after years of constant nagging pain in my lower back, right hip and right groin. None of the many treatments and practitioners of various kinds, from GPs to Chiropractors, gave the same relief as I have had from using the Better Back Program.
Dear Kass,
I have been using your program now for six weeks and what do I think of it? IT IS MARVELLOUS !!!
I have followed your advice and have done the exercises every day, most days twice. Sometimes it is tempting to be 'too busy' and skip it but I only have to think back to what I was suffering then I get the band out and get started.
There's still a way to go to get rid of all the pain, mostly when I'm lying down, but I have no doubt that, given time, the exercises, salt and glucosamine plus water which you recommend will all combine to solve my problem. I had previously used the salt etc over a long period as part of self-treatment but later substituted MSM for glucosamine. The grey sea salt that I was using has been discarded in favour of your white salt - your explanation re the colour convinced me. For me the exercises were the vital key that unlocked door to being pain-free.
I would highly recommend your system to anyone with back problems similar to mine and would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your work in this field and the very reasonable cost at which you sell the Program. The video (DVD available) is invaluable to keep reminding me about posture. I will send you a further update at about six months use, that is, if it is of any interest to you for your records.
Yours sincerely

No More Need For Chiropractor After 20 Years Of Consultations
My first bad spasms occurred in 1982 and I was unable to move for 4 mths. Up until 4 years ago I was seeing him every 6 weeks to 6 months for treatment, until other severe spasms did not respond to this. I was hospitalised for cortisone injections in the spine twice in 2 mths in 2003.
In April ’04 my friend and I attended your seminar and I started your program. I have not seen a chiropractor or have been hospitalised since then, and feel the exercises have given me the back support to lead a normal life.
Dear Kass,
Thank you for the new exercise band, received with thanks!
My life from a very young age has been very physical as I married young to a carpenter/builder and in the next 12 years I laboured for him in building 3 homes. I played tennis competitively for 20 years, also yoga & physical culture. When separated in 1980, I found work in hospitality with very heavy lifting involved.
In 1985 I came to Qld with a partner. We bought a commercial cleaning business, also very heavy back work. My first bad spasms occurred in 1982 and I was unable to move for 4 mths.
After seeing a “Precise Instrumentation” chiropractor I was able to function again. Up until 4 years ago I was seeing him every 6 weeks to 6 months for treatment, until other severe spasms did not respond to this. I was hospitalised for cortisone injections in the spine twice in 2 mths in 2003.
What I feel added to my problems were the fact my knees were giving me extreme pain and also limping badly. A complete knee reconstruction in Dec 2003, Aug 2004, 12 mths later kept me immobile for long periods and inactive.
In April ’04 my friend and I attended your seminar and I started your program. I have not seen a chiropractor or have been hospitalised since then, and feel the exercises have given me the back support to lead a normal life that I need.
Yours in good health!
Sincerely

Back Improved So Much That His Wife Has Him Gardening Again!
Since starting your exercise programme in the latter part of last year, my back has improved to the point where I can now do gardening (never my favourite past time!), and my golf has improved to a 12 handicap with a fairly consistent run in the low 80s. The last 2 rounds have seen me put my drive on our short par 4 in the bunker at edge of the green, and pin high, also reaching a par 5 for two into the wind, requiring carry on the second shot, so I am obviously not worried by having to "guard" a glass back (remember, I, like your friend Les, am in my 60's).
It has also been necessary for me to visit my gorgeous chiropractor only once in the last six months. My wife has also noticed a difference in my fitness, the down side of this being that she finds me more work to do around the place!!
G'day Kass,
Thought I'd better try again in case my last e-mail didn't get through. I replied to your last one, in November last, but now I can add to that.

Hope this finds you in good heart and that your back is in as good a condition as mine. It may be a little while (after I retire) before we visit Coolangatta again so you've got a while to get your golf good enough!! In a recent survey by management regarding health, I replied that an exercise regime such as yours would benefit staff's fitness, so we'll see how serious they are if they come back to me.

Back Pain Goes – So Does Knee Pain!
At the time I started the program, I had pain in my lower back (about L5) and my left knee. I felt the knee problem was caused by the back problem so was optimistic that if the program worked, both problems would disappear. Well, they have!!!
It only took about two to three weeks for the pain to go. I'm just so grateful that I can skip from rock to rock like I used to when I was a kid. Tomorrow, I'm going to Coutts Crossing for nine holes of golf; looking forward to that.
Dear Kass,
Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how much I appreciate your Better Back Program. I have been doing the exercises for about three months now (could be more) and have benefited enormously from them.
At the time I started the program, I had pain in my lower back (about L5) and my left knee. I felt the knee problem was caused by the back problem so was optimistic that if the program worked, both problems would disappear. Well, they have!!! In fact, it only took about two to three weeks for the pain to go. Because the exercises only take 5 or so minutes to complete ( I'm doing about 12 to 14 repetitions of each exercise), it's easy to keep up the routine morning and night. My wife and I recently moved to a 100-acre bush block in hilly sandstone country between Coffs Harbour and Grafton and I'm just so grateful that I can skip from rock to rock like I used to when I was a kid. Tomorrow, I'm going to Coutts Crossing for nine holes of golf; looking forward to that.
Kass, thanks again for a wonderful and efficacious health program. I am so grateful also to Elaine Hollingsworth for listing your program in the resources section of her book, “Take Control Of Your Health”. Without that I would never have heard about your program.
Feel free to use all or part of this as a testimonial in support of the program.
Kind regards,
Michael Skipper
Better Back Program Prevents Back Surgery After Go Kart Accident Damages L4/5 & L5/S1
I was involved in a Go Kart accident, the result being that I couldn’t move out of bed without excruciating pain for 2 days. X-rays and C.T. scans showing an annulus bulge at L4/5 and a large disc extrusion at L5/S1. I visited my Chiropractor every second day; Massage every week, Hydrotherapy pool, as well as Chinese Acupuncture, finally Physio. A friend lent me her copy of the Better Back Program. My thoughts were, this guy has done his research & seems to know what he is talking about.
After doing 5 reps of the five exercises (taking 5 minutes) I felt just as exhausted as if I had been at the gym for an hour.
I had been in so much pain I couldn’t sleep on my left side. I still had numbness in my left leg running to my little toe from the nerve being pinched. Yet two weeks ago I climbed the 8.8km walk of Mount Warning and spent 3 hours playing tennis. I believe my recovery has been expatiated through daily involvement with Kass’ Better Back Program.

After reading 4 – 5 books and researching all I could on the Internet to find a way around the appointment I had with surgeon Dr Scott-Young. A friend lent me her book “The Better Back Program”. My thoughts were, this guy has done his research & seems to know what he is talking about.
I rang Kass on Sat 6th November and was able to visit him the same day.
I took another friend with me; we both bought a start up kit off Kass and have been following his program since.
After doing 5 reps of the five exercises (taking 5 minutes) I felt just as exhausted as if I had been at the gym for an hour. Pre accident I was going 4 times a week. The greatest benefit was in my shoulder posture. I also found these exercises easy to remember as Kass has given them such good names eg “Row Your Boat” as compared with other books I had read which referred to doing exercise 5.7 before you do exercise 5.8.
I haven’t had a headache in the past 3 months since religiously drinking 2 litres of filtered water with 1 teaspoon of Sea Salt and 1 teaspoon of Vitamin C. I have also been taking Glucosamine with Chondroitin. I have also referred another of my friends to Kass.

Golfer Eagles Long Par Five For The First Time
Day 5 280 metre drive, 6 iron, 2 metre putt for eagle on par 4 (GOT IT!)
Day 7 All soreness / stiffness has disappeared. I feel like I’m immersed in a barrel of warm oil. No tension in either my body or my mind. One remarkable feature of this is my attitude toward other people, especially those who previously caused some angst. I have only experienced this after significant practice of meditation / self hypnosis. It’s a feeling of being calmly in control, not being driven by internal tension, no real likes or dislikes, just a very calm acceptance of everything.
Dear Kass,
Exactly a week since I started your Better Back system. You may be interested in my observations.
Day 1 Upon completion of exercises I was astounded to feel an area of calm around my middle lower back. Surprised because I was unaware of any previous discomfort, it just felt peaceful.
Day 2 An acute awareness of muscles moving, a strange sensation and a realisation that these were never consciously used before.
Day 3 Muscles around shoulders becoming sore, but a pleasant feeling.
Day 4 Soreness persisting, especially upon rising, hot shower and exercises alleviating most of this.
Day 5 280 metre drive, 6 iron, 2 metre putt for eagle on par 4 (GOT IT!)
Day 6 Sense of being taller, arms swinging longer as I walked, an incredible sense of calm and happiness as I shared a game of golf. No tension. ... I have long studied psychology, calm techniques, self hypnosis, meditation etc. It appears to me that the reduction in tension, especially in my shoulders / neck, has introduced a calming effect on my whole body.

Physio Confirms Back/Spine Much Better
From Martin
I had a physio appointment on Wednesday evening and he commented on how much better my back/spine appeared, so although I suppose each person’s case can be different, as far as I’m concerned it looks like Kass has hit the nail on the head regarding the exercises in his book (and that’s only doing them about 70% as much as I should) - on the downside of my back being so much better, I have to get up at 4:30am this Sunday to play pain free golf @ 5:30am.
‘Cheers....Marty’
Twenty years of back pain as a professional golfer gone in a couple of weeks
Dear Kass,
Sorry for the delay in getting in contact with you, however it gave me the time to give the "Better Back Program" a good try.
As I promised here is a testimonial.
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Kass for introducing me to the 'Better Back Program'.
As a Professional Golfer I have suffered from lower back pain for the last 20 years. After using the Program for the past 2 months the pain has completely gone and my back is stronger, I feel fitter and I am hitting the ball further.
I highly recommend this product to all golfers and people with back pain.

Cleaning contractor wipes out long term back pain with Better Back Program
Dear Kass,
I would like to share how the "Better Back Program" developed by Kass has helped me.
I have suffered lower back pain off and on over the last fifteen years. Over the last two years I have experienced increasingly severe spasms and inflammation coupled with excruciating pain that has left me unable to walk and bedridden for various periods of time.
The simple exercises I was introduced to in The Better Back Program enabled me to be on my feet and back to work within one week of my last major spasm. (I believe expected minimum downtime can be anything from 2 to 6 weeks)
After one month on the program I can feel my back is stronger now and less prone to a major “ouch”. I am able to move much more freely and can even jog without any pain whatsoever. The exercises work best for me when I do them upon arising in the morning and before bed in the evening.
A recent lapse after only two weeks in the program alerted me to the need to keep at it as the old creaks and groans re-emerged. It is very reassuring to have this monster under control now and very liberating to be pain free.

Chronic back pain for the past 15 years with a major back spasm at least once a year
Hi Kass,
So far after about a week of working your exercises, I have not had any pain at all. I used to have chronic back pain for the past 15 years with a major back spasm at least once a year. I never thought it would go away because I still do play a lot of sports at 32 years old.
So far I can play softball with no pain the next day. I'm just wondering if I can go back to playing racquetball again with no pain. I'm going to be testing that this week. I'm excited to see if I can.
Anyway, is there anyway I can get or order another band? I wouldn't want to be without this band for more than a couple of days if something happened to it.
Thanks

This is an excellent example of perseverance. Please take the time to read the entire conversation stream.
We really do care about our clients …
Kass,
I purchased your better back program on 4/13/05 and it arrived about a week latter. I purchased this with the hope that it would help to relieve the pain that I have in my low back. This pain will intermittently shoot down into the back of my thighs, more right than left. I have been following the program and exercises since the day it arrived.
Unfortunately I have not seen any relief of the pain in my low back. I have noticed that my neck feels looser but the low back pain is the same. I know that it has not been 30 days yet. I will follow up with you in a couple of weeks and continue to follow the program with the hope that I am one who it will take more time to get relief. If it is unsuccessful I am afraid i will need to see my doctor about getting an MRI to see if I have a more serious problem.
I just wanted to let you know of my situation at this time. I am a little discouraged but will hope that I see some improvement soon. Thank you.

Hi Andres,
Thank you for taking the time to email me. I am sorry to hear that you haven't seen any improvement to your lower back so far.
This is one of those cases where I wish I could be on hand to personally guide you through the execution of the exercises.
I will see if I can do so via this email.
In particular for exercise 1 (The Holdup):
The sitting posture is critically important. As I stated in the Starting Procedure, sit on the very edge of your chair with your feet under your buttocks, making sure you are not leaning backward at all. The feeling of being almost off-balance and about to fall off the chair on your face needs to be there to alert your brain to the fact that something unique is happening.
Hold the band at shoulder width, so your arms are parallel. Don't stretch the band at all at this time (that's a more advanced version of the first exercise).
Then stretch your arms high directly above your head and carry out 12-15 little stretches upward, each one higher than the last. The higher the number of upward stretches the better, but don't do more than 18-20.
Only then should you push your hands backward and carry out another 5-8 stretches, both upward and backward at the same time. You should feel quite a bit of movement in the lower back area when you do this.
Now - start the downward pull with the exercise band, making sure you keep pushing your hands backward as much as possible. This movement applies even more action to the lower back area and you should be able to feel your lower back doing a fair bit of work during this part.
Make sure you keep the backward push with your hands when raising the exercise band back above your head.
Each time when you reach the top again, do another 3-4 upward and backward stretches before starting the cycle over again.
With the other exercises, remember the posture and initially, have someone watch you if possible to check.
I truly hope this helps.
Please keep in touch, and have faith that, at the least, I will refund your investment if you are not helped by the Better Back Program.
All the best,
Kass

I have been trying the exercises the way I described to you but I am still having incredible low back pain. I played golf over the weekend and my low back was in extreme pain the next day. I am going to see my doctor.
I am sorry but your program does not appear to work for me. I really wish it did because at this point I am afraid I have a serious back condition.

Hi Andres,
I'm very sorry for your condition.
I want to honour my guarantee, so if you could please return the book and the DVD/video (but keep the band with my compliments), I will refund your investment.
I would also be grateful if you could inform me when you have had any diagnosis, so I can update my files on difficult conditions.
All the very best,
Kass

I am going to keep at it for another week while I wait for my doctor’s appointment. Today I notice that my back feels a little better. Maybe it is just taking me some extra time. Thank you for your being caring and honest.

Hi Andres,
It is worth persevering so long as you are not experiencing any sharp pain during the exercises. Some of my clients have taken a couple of months to get serious benefit.
I'm not sure why that may be, but each person is different, thank goodness.
Best regards,
Kass

Kass,
I just wanted to bring you up to date on my back pain. I seem to have made a breakthrough. My low back feels so much better! I kept up with your program and I am now seeing some great results.
Thank you. I have made 2 additions to the program that I wanted to share with you that might benefit others. My Chiropractor added these 2 exercises to your Better Back Program. They both target the low back/sacral area where I was having my pain.
After I do your Better Back Program I then stand against a wall. From there you move you legs out and bend into a position that looks like a chair with your thighs and horizontal to the floor, knees bent at 90 degrees and your back against the wall. Then hold this position. You start slowly trying to work up to 1 minute.
The second exercise I added is I get into the sitting position for exercises 2 & 4 of the Better Back Program. I then use a rolled up towel and place it between my knees.
You slowly squeeze the towel for a slow 5 count and release. I started using the same schedule as your Better Back Program.
Again I wanted to share this in hope it may help others with very low back/sacral pain. Your program along with these 2 exercises have made a world of difference. Thank you!

Hi Andres,
Great news!!
I have been constantly refining the Better Back Program over the past 7 - 8 years, all based on my clients' discoveries, plus my own research. It is information like yours which will help countless others to gain relief.
Thank you for your information and your perseverance. I will add it to my research for Edition 3, and certainly send it out with my hints and tips to other clients.
Is it OK to mention your name and pass on your observations to others?
Best wishes,
Kass

And then, two years later:

Kass,
I wanted to thank you again for your program. I have now been doing these exercises for 2 years and my back feels better then it has since I was 25. Unfortunately even your program can not help pure stupidity. Last week I was helping a friend move some very large windows from the back of his truck into his mountain cabin. Well the next day my back was in agony. I followed the plan in the book and by day 2 I was able to start exercises 1&2. By the end of the week I was back doing the whole program. I believe that with out these exercises I would still be in a lot of pain.
Thank you.
